The Mile Long Letter to the President!

Here is your opportunity to write down what is in your heart and on your mind and we will make sure it is delivered to the President of the United States.

R. “Bucket” Monday will be spending the latter half of 2006 and the first half of 2007 visiting schools, stopping by picnics, maybe even your house and a lot of other places with a table, a mile long roll of white paper and a sign that invites you to write down what it is you wish to say.

You can say pretty much anything you would like to say to the President of the United States, as if he were standing next to you,,, and really wanted to know! Any topic, any “heart”, any laugh or,,, smile. Of course,,, we imagine a few more folks will be reading your “hearts” because what you have in your heart and on your mind not only gets on The Mile Long Letter to the President, it just may well go into the book, (by the same title) so all will know how you feel.

OK! We hope a lot more because part of the proceeds of this book will go to the helping of rebuilding schools an/or libraries in KatrinaLand.
With only a few rules:

  1. What you submit to us becomes ours, no money paid (it’s a lawyer thing, ok!). Although you have the comfort of knowing that a lot of the money that comes our way from our books, etc. goes to helping others and we will always give credit, where credit is due. (This means we will always tell everyone who has helped.)
  2. No hate. Of any kind.
  3. No cussing. Of any kind.
  4. If emailing, no attachments, please. We won’t open any.
  5. We prefer “snail mail” if not writing on the actual “roll” of paper when Bucket is in your town.
  6. Your submission may, or may not, end up on the web, or in a book.
  7. You can give your name, school, town or state, but please no phone numbers or stuff like that.

Touch your computer screen now, as your signature to a contract that you understand and agree with.

“Snail”, Email (No Attachments) or in person,,, we look forward to hearing from you.

You can always write to us about anything.
