About Us
Welcome!
This web site is dedicated to reading for fun and,,, to the child in us all.
We promise to maintain a “Family Friendly” web site. We would like all of our children to know that even with serious topics surrounding all of our lives, the Majdelene, R. “Bucket” Monday, Michael deveraux Carroll and all of our staff will always do our best to find ways to answer children’s questions. And, ease a child into understanding of the sometimes wacky world in an educational and entertaining way.
What started out as a one week vacation for R. “Bucket” Monday to the foothills turned out to be fourteen months camped in a tent at the base of the Majdelene’s ancestral home and primary portal, Jo^Meo^Kee Mountain.
On the third night around the campfire, Bucket felt a bit of a chill in the warm August air. “Feels like a front heading our way.” He thought as he headed for his Astro van to retrieve a summer sleeping bag to ward off the sure-to-come night’s chill.
Standing by the side door, just before reaching into the van to choose the dark blue, or Wolfpack red sleeping bag, Bucket noticed the fog slowly rolling along the tree tops and down the hill towards Camp Pi’Nr.
“Comfy.” As he recalls, was his only thought when he lay down for the night and as he quickly found the endless highway to dreams.
“Bu’Kt-Bu’Kt-Bu’Kt.” Ever so softly he heard his name called just prior to pulling off the entrance ramp to fore mentioned highway. Echo it did.
His name, that is.
Ever so softly.
Waking the next morning, thinking it a dream, Bucket awoke feeling as if he had spent time talking to,,,?
Two nights later, the willowy, honey scented Majdelene woman walked up to his camp fire, with fog all about, and said, “It is called co^Re.”
And thus began the legacy,,, or the story,,, or, some might be inclined to call tall tales of,,, pictures to back him up,,, no, not of her, of the campsite,,, of Bucket spending so much time in tents.
Unlike Bucket, Michael d. Carroll does not spend a lot of time around here, nor in tents. Nor, are there many pictures of him, about.
Most of what we know of him is,,, broken heartedness.
Sure, he smiles,,, from time to time. Mostly he is serious, gets the job done, then leaves.
Topsail Island,,, we suspect.
“The PuP!”, as Michael is known in fishing circles, and from his days as a Country Radio DJ & Newsman, anchors what he believes is the answer to Dads getting such bad publicity all the time.
“Move over, Moms,,, Dad is coming home!” is how he describes “Decade of the Dad!”, a lot.
This comes from his ex-marriage and thinking of his ex-stepsons. So too, the above mentioned “broken”.
Feel free to contact either,,, but, please, with snail mail first,,, and, if you have to email,,, just have to email??? No attachments, please, as we will not open them unless we request it from you.
Tired of all the things that seem to be pulling our families and country apart, Michael deveraux Carroll and R. “Bucket Monday”, two very different people, have come together to find, revel in, promote and celebrate that which is truly unique in this world:
